BPX Logistics is hiring a Software Engineer to build and maintain the systems that support freight execution and shipment visibility. You will develop internal applications that enable Transportation Management (TMS) workflows, warehouse operations reporting, and customer-facing tracking and analytics. This role is available as full-time or part-time and is fully remote, with expected overlap during U.S. business hours for collaboration and support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features for internal platforms supporting TMS and warehouse-related workflows
- Build customer-facing shipment visibility experiences, including tracking milestones, exceptions, and reporting
- Design and implement integrations with customers, carriers, and partners via API and/or EDI
- Improve data quality, accuracy, and reliability for shipment and operational records
- Collaborate with operations and stakeholders to translate SOPs and edge cases into product requirements
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and integration guides to support long-term maintainability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards
- Support production reliability by monitoring system health and resolving incidents impacting operations
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript
- Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs (event-driven patterns a plus)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational data modeling (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Hands-on experience with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with testing practices (unit and integration) and code review workflows
- Working knowledge of observability fundamentals (logging, metrics, alerting) and incident response
- Experience with integrations (EDI/X12, carrier APIs, webhooks) is a plus
- Strong written communication and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Authorized to work in the United States

- Salary range: $105,000–$145,000 annually (full-time); part-time compensation prorated to hours
